Where the Stitches Cross

for everyone
An album for my progress on Growth Rings, designed by Tracy Horner of Ink Circles http://www.inkcircles.com/index.html

I will be doing this entirely in 11/0 delica beads on 28ct evenweave :)

Note: Please do not ask me to send charts to you electronically; I respect and adhere to copyright laws, and in so doing, to send you an electronically reproduced chart would put me and you in violation of those laws.

Yes. :) Or hermetically seal me when I'm working on it so none of these things get away from me - even after I make my industrial strength Tacky Bob :) :)

Can't wait to see this one!! :)

Entirely in beads, huh? Oh wow... I'm afraid I'd have to agree with z3mom... although the hermetically sealed option might work too! Good luck on this Karen! It will be absolutely amazing once you've completed it. =]

That's going to be amazing! That's one BIG spool of Nymo! I really want to to Cirque de circle with just one circle of beads. Maybe I need to ask Tracy how to chart it to make it look right. You will probably start this before I figure out what to do.

Gorgeous, Karen! Did you like working with VC's silks?

Nancy, this isn't my finish - this is the model. I am doing this in beads, not floss. But to answer your question, yes, I do like working with HDF silks - I have several projects that use them, either alone or with other fibers...

Sorry, Karen. I misunderstood because I was viewing on my iPad and didn't read everything. I can't imagine doing this all in beads! I take forever on a little Mill Hill piece! Hope you love beading!

That's a great bead-to-thread match.

I have a question though --- are you going to use the beads randomly or try to match the variegation sequence of the thread? The latter would be a four-letter-word, IMO... but random would have a totally different look from the model.

By the way, I don't envy you the project. I've been doing Bead Journal Project for two years now and beading that densely takes longer than stitching it does... at least inside my head!

It will be completely random within the two colors. I think I bead faster than I stitch, and after doing so many projects with beads this year, I'm definitely ready. Or will be as soon as I get the industrial strength Tacky Bob made :)
