for everyone
Lyne asked me if I would finish her wedding sampler for her. It's a Stoney Creek piece, and she had the wording and the hearts already done when she passed it on to me.

OMG Karen - look at how much you got done already. I will never be able to repay you for this gift!!!

I like the colors!

It's beautiful and more than I can handle; the confetti stitches in Stoney Creek designs make me CRAZY!

Very pretty, but have to agree, Stoney Creek are my least favorite to stitch!!! They are beautiful when finished. I've done a couple Christmas stockings and really hope when someone wants another stocking....they choose another designer!

Actually, it doesn't look too bad - a bazillion times easier than Lady & unicorn, and about on par with a TW - so no big deal for me, really. Of course, there's also BF, which could have me eating my words later... :)

I think that's why it's been a UFO for five years....I can't stand stitching for hours and getting nothing done!

Methinks you don't have enough WIPs :)
behappy0201 wrote on May 4, '09
Yeah - I have like 6 - that's enough!

This is looking lovely - and I'm another one who stays away from Stoney Creek because of all the shading. Way to go, Karen!

This is a beautiful piece, and in some respects doesn't take all that long for a Stoney Creek (I did it for my sis and BIL). The white on white, though, drove me NUTS! LOL

Looks good, Karen! It will be a really pretty piece when finished.

I had to go look at the original! WOW, those bells and doves are huge! I thought you were about done.
behappy0201 wrote on Jun 9, '09
Wow Karen - I don't know how you're doing it so fast!
angelicabeads wrote on Jun 9, '09
Beautiful, Karen! And great stitching! Thanks.

Oh Karen - your "little bits" are more than I would have ever done in a lifetime. I love it and can't thank you enough!

Very pretty stitching! How close are you to getting done?

This is just the top 1/4 of Page 1 of 4 -pages 2 & 4 are completed there on the right, so I still have a lot to do. But once I can get to the bells, they ought to move along pretty quick. The doves will, too, I think, until I go to backstitch - may have to go each "feather" as I go, so I don't get lost... I won't be able to fudge this bs like I can on a TW :)

Love it and totally in your debt forever!

This is lovely! How much more of this is left?

Above those blue ribbons are several roses to do, then another dove, and the bells. But once I get to the bells, it will go quicker - the roses and all the greenery take the most time, because there's a zillion colors in there - the bells have considerably less :) I have about 1/4 of the top left page left, and the bottom left page.
ndmurdock wrote on Nov 9, '09
Those roses do look a little color intense!! You're making good progress though!
